Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Dar es Salaam
You will be taken to your accommodation in Dar es Salaam for the night when you arrive.
Accommodation: Hotel Slip way (BB).
Day 2: Dar es Salaam – Selous Game Reserve
Pickup from DSM city center, followed by a picnic lunch at Selous Game Reserve and a late-afternoon boat safari down the powerful Rufiji River
Accommodation: Rufiji River Camp (L, D)
By boat, you may explore the Rufiji River and see plenty of crocodiles and hippos. The Selous Game Reserve is home to about 350 different species of birds. These are common in Miombo forests, and Rufiji swamps contain a variety of birds that are particularly interesting.
Day 3 + 4: Game Drive in Selous Game Reserve
You will get a full day to explore the Selous Game Reserve in a four-wheel drive vehicle, which will allow you to take excellent pictures and see various areas of the expansive park.

At 54,600 square kilometers, the Selous Game Reserve is the biggest in Africa.
Frederick Courtney Selous was an explorer and hunter who gave the park its name. Here, he lost his life in World War 1. Elephants are the reason Selous is well-known. Lions, wild dogs, buffaloes, bushbuck, impalas, elands, baboons, zebras, and bigger kudus are among the other animals that are frequently sighted. Although there are many animals there, they are more timid than in the Northern Parks, which is why it was initially designated as a hunting area. You will be able to visit many areas of the large park and have excellent photographic chances when you go on 4×4 excursions.
Day 5: Selous Game Reserve – Mikumi National Park
You will begin your morning walking safari after an early breakfast. Later, take a picnic lunch to Mikumi National Park.

You will feel the African wilds more intimately if you go on a walking safari. It takes two hours to meet the driver at the reserve gate, and it begins in the morning under the supervision of an armed ranger. On walking safaris, there is a good chance of spotting elephants, zebras, giraffes, and birds.
Day 6: Mikumi National Park – Ruaha National Park
Take a picnic lunch at Ruaha National Park after breakfast.

Mikumi National Park, which spans 3,230 square kilometers, is a popular park in Tanzania. Elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, elands, greater Kudu, wildebeest, roan, and sable antelope are among the park’s most well-known inhabitants.
Black-backed jackals, leopards, wild hunting dogs, and the numerous tree-climbing lions are among the predators. Here, over 300 bird species have been identified, including Eurasian migrants like the lilac-breasted roller, marabou stork, and red-billed ox pecker.
Day 7 + 8: Game drive in Ruaha National Park
After breakfast full day game drives in Ruaha National Park

Day 9: Ruaha National Park – Mikumi National Park
